Change the amount for one month

Account for an unusual month without changing your normal plan.

Change an unusual month without changing your normal recurring plan.

  1. Open the Cashflow planning view

Go to Cashflow and select the month containing the unusual amount.

  2. Find the existing item

Open the relevant income or spending category and locate the recurring item.

  3. Change the selected-month amount

Edit the amount shown for that month and submit the new value. Do not open the recurring details when the normal rule should stay unchanged.

  4. Check the months around it

Move to the previous and next months. They should still use the recurring amount while the selected month uses the override.

You’re finished when…

Example: a larger bill for one month

Your usual electricity amount is AUD 180 per month, but January is AUD 260. Change January only, then check February still uses AUD 180.

To return that month to its usual amount, enter the normal recurring amount again and check its neighbours.

Next: Read your Cashflow to check the result.
